"As of 2004-MAR, only six countries had laws on the books that allow the execution of juvenile offenders: Democratic Republic of Congo, Iran, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the United States. 2005-MAR-01: By the usual 5 to 4 vote, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that it is unconstitutional to execute a juvenile killer."

Is anyone else wondering what took us so long?

Poverty in America The official poverty rate in the U.S. has increased for four consecutive years, from a 26-year low of 11.3% in 2000 to 12.7% in 2004. This means that 37.0 million people were below the official poverty thresholds in 2004. This is 5.4 million more than in 2000. The poverty rate for children under 18 increased from 16.2% to 17.8% over that period.

What still takes us so long?

Yea, this is people living below or at the poverty line in America, meaning they could be homeless, or barely not homeless.
